Fall KinderKickers 2019
Welcome to KinderKickers! This year, LYSC has partnered with Stan's Soccer Training to offer an exciting developmental program at a great value. Below are some helpful guidelines to keep in mind.
ELIGIBILITY
KinderKickers is a co-ed program for Lyndhurst girls and boys who are entering Pre-K or Kindergarten and born in 2014 or 2015
DATES & TIMES
-
KinderKickers registration begins online June 13th and stays open through the start of the season.
The opening meeting will be on Friday, September 6 and will largely be a "Meet & Greet" with your groupmates, trainers, and some of the Board Members.
-
The season runs for 6 Saturday sessions from Sep 14 thru Oct 19. Inclement weather and/or scheduling conflicts may require a session to to be moved to the following Sunday.
Each session is broken into smaller groups of approximately 12 kids
As of registration opening, we do NOT have time commitments for the sessions. We will update the site accordingly.
Session times/groups will be assigned in mid-August.
-
$75 includes training, t-shirt, and a soccer ball.
-
We not prorate the fee for players who register after the season begins.
-
REFUNDS
-
LYSC hopes your child will love soccer and want to keep coming back each week (and seasons to come), but we understand that kids this age may change their minds or simply not like it. If that happens with your child, we will issue a refund, minus $25 for LYSC’s expenses, if you notify us by September 1. No refunds will be issued after September 1.
-
Please keep in mind that KinderKickers is an outdoor activity and the schedule is subject to severe weather, field conditions and other circumstances beyond LYSC’s control. There will be no credit or refund for missed or cancelled sessions due to weather, poor field conditions, illness, family vacations, etc. We cannot guarantee that a canceled session due to these circumstances can be made up.
WHAT TO BRING
Each KinderKickers player is required to wear their KinderKickers T-shirt each week and bring the soccer ball that will be provided to them. In addition, all players must wear shin guards, and sneakers, turf shoes, or soccer cleats (cleats designed for other sports are not permitted). Our concession stand is open during all sessions if you forget water and Gatorade!
VOLUNTEER
LYSC strongly encourages parents to get involved! This is a great opportunity to meet other parents and share in your child’s soccer experience. Parents who volunteer as team managers do not need any coaching experience or knowledge of soccer. Though, we do hope that being there to support and watch your child will give those without experience some understanding and confidence to volunteer in future stages of your child’s LYSC soccer development. Team managers will act as a liaison between LYSC and parents, help our professional trainers during sessions by encouraging the players, directing them to their teams, and making sure everyone is having fun. You can register to be a team manager when you register your child.
IMPORTANT
KinderKickers is not a drop-off program. A parent or other responsible adult designated by a parent or guardian must be present during each KinderKickers session. All mutually agreed upon requests to have your child assigned to a group with a friend or family member will be honored. Session time preferences will be considered on a first-come first-serve basis.
PARKING
Space in the lot is limited. Please allow yourself enough time (approx 10 min) to have your child at the field and ready for their sessions when they begin.
