It's time to get ready for Fall Ball!!!!!  As many of you know, we formed up the Bolts a few years ago as a "sister" organization to the Laurel Little League to play in the fall since we didn't typically get enough players to play in-house as the Little League.  That group has grown from 1 team in its first year to as many as 6 teams each fall at different age groups.  Below is a summary of our fall plans so that if you are interested in playing you can sign up.  There are some differences between the Bolts and Laurel Little League.  Most notably, some of the Bolts teams are formed more competitively through tryouts and while we will do our best to fit everyone in, there may be cuts necessary depending upon the numbers and breakout of the kids.  Also, the costs will vary depending upon age group and skill level, ranging from around $100 for the rec-level teams to up to $350 for the travel level teams.  The prices won't be finalized until teams are assigned and leagues selected for play since their registration fees vary greatly. Below is our current plan.  All ages below reflect next Spring's league age (age as of April 30th of next year).  If we have a superior turnout and volunteers to coach, we may form additional teams to fill the need, so sign up if you're interested and we'll see what we have!  

13-16U Recreational - 90' bases - This age group will consist of "graduating" Majors players and existing Juniors players.  We play interleague with area teams in the Rockville Baseball Association.  Most games will be played in Rockville or Beltsville.

12U Recreational - 50' pitching - 70' bases - This age group will consist of players aging from 11-12 years old (or up to 7th grade) who are not selected for or choose not to play on a more competitive 11U or 12U travel team.  We plan to play in the BAA fall league where kids will be playing on the larger dimension fields and will have the opportunity to learn new skills such as leading off and pick offs.  

09-11U Rec - 46' pitching - 60' bases - This age group will consist of players aging from 9-11 years old who are not selected for or choose not to play on a more competitive 10U travel team.  We plan to play in the BAA "Peewee" fall league.

08U - 42' pitching (or machine pitch) - 60' bases - This team will consist of players aging primarily from 6-8 years old.   We plan to play in the BAA Machine Pitch fall league.

Teeball

06U - Teeball - This team will consist of players ages 4-6 years old.  We plan to do weekly development workouts and scrimmage games locally.

Currently we have the two "Select/Travel" teams.  Additional teams may form if there is enough interest and available coaching.

14U Travel - 60' pitching - 90' bases - This team will consist of the top 14 year old players and additional competitive 13 year old players and plans to play a "full schedule" in the Montgomery County Baseball Association (MCBA).

10U Travel - 46' pitching - 65' bases - This team will consist of the top 10 year old players and additional competitive 9 year old players and plans to play a "full schedule" in the Montgomery County Baseball Association (MCBA).
