Canastota AYSO, Region 1563

1.       By the end of the first week of seasonal play, the coach(es) will inform the RC of their intention to field a tournament team.

2.       The RC will inform the referee admin who will attempt to secure a referee for the tournament, if required.

3.       Final rosters and team fees must be submitted to the RC at least 5 days prior to the application deadline to allow for verification of all information and for proper payment to be made to the tournament host.  All players, coaches and referees (if applicable) must meet the eligibility requirements of the tournament.  All fees for the tournament will be paid through the Canastota Region 1563 treasury.

4.       Parents will be informed of tournament dates, the expectations for the players and can contact the child’s coach if they are interested in their child participating in a tournament.

5.       Rosters will be decided by the coach(es) involved in taking the team(s) to the tournament.  Players will be chosen from the appropriate age level from teams in the Canastota Region 1563.  If necessary, tryouts will be arranged and run by the coach(es).

6.       Tournament teams will consist of eligible players from the Canastota Region 1563.  Only after recruiting all eligible players from within the appropriate age level from within the region and if some players are unable to or choose not to participate in the tournament, thereby leaving room on the tournament roster, then a player or players from another region may be recruited from another region.  Such player/players must have the written approval of their coach(es) from the outside region and the RC’s of each region.  No player from Region 1563 who qualifies for a tournament team will be refused a place on the roster to allow a player from another region to compete.  This process must adhere to the time frame of submitting the final roster to the Region 1563 RC at least 5 days prior to the application deadline as outlined in #3 above.
