RE: Use & Conduct Rules for Continental Soldiers Park
Please read the important rules for use and conduct required by ALL teams and organizations that are schedule at the Continental Soldiers Park facility.
1. All requests for scheduled use of the facility must be provided in writing by the sports commissioner, to the Recreation Director and approved in advanced.
2. Proper signs have been placed at the park stating rules for use and conduct. These rules apply to everyone!
3.
Players and coaches ONLY are allowed on the field. Stands identifying bleacher seating for Home and Visitors are provided on both sides of the field. It is expected that your coaches will work to both educate the fans and enforce the policies established. Fans are expected to watch the game, not coach from the sidelines. If a fan becomes disruptive, the coach has the right to ask the fan to maintain order or leave the field.
4. NO smoking, gum, sunflower seeds, food, sports drinks or alcohol are allowed on the field.
The ONLY exception is water for the players and coaches.
5.
Coaches and players are expected to check the field at the conclusion of their games and pick up any water bottles or equipment left by their team.
6. In the event of a thunder and lightening storm, the lightning detection systems siren will sound, along with a strobe light, if there is a lightning strike within 5 miles. The initial siren will go off only once for 18 seconds but the strobe light will stay on for as long as it takes to clear.
The important thing to know is that if the STROBE LIGHT IS ON THERE IS LIGHTNING IN THE AREA. When all is clear a horn will sound (for 18 sec.) and the strobe light will turn off.
7. In the event of a player injury, an Injury Report Form must be filled out by the coach and submitted to the Recreation Director within 3 days of the injury. This form is available on the Boosters website,
www.tmysb.org. Go to the “Health and Wellness” tab and click on “injury report form”.
Please contact me at my office (201)529-5757 ext.254 if there are any questions regarding the stated policies or operation and use of Continental Soldiers Park.
