Soccer U6 through U8 (ages 6 through 8)

INTERMURAL (Recreation) U6/U7/U8 AGE GROUP (age 6, 7 and 8)

• Open to all boys and girls that are 6, 7 and 8 years of age as of July 31st.
• Elk SC will play towns within close proximity.
• Depending on team size and skill level, children at the age of 8 may play in intramural.
• Teams will either be boys or girls or coed, depending upon the numbers that register.
• Players will continue to develop their individual technical skills. More emphasis will be placed on the team tactics in the game of soccer. All the rules of soccer will be applied to game play.
• A more competitive environment will be present.
• Teamwork and sportsmanship will continue to be emphasized.
• Equipment: Each player will need to have shinguards and cleated shoes.
• Practices arranged by the individual coach.
• Games Saturday morning - 6 versus 6 including goalkeepers, with substitutes. All rules of soccer will apply. Two 25-minute halves played.
