WOW FC Alumnus off to College on Soccer Scholarship

Two of WOW FC’s players will be attending college on soccer scholarship.

Leslie Robles will be attending The University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima Ohio. The Racers as they are called play in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. It is an NAIA conference. She will be joining the 2016 NAIA Women’s National Champions.

Leslies played for many years on the boy’s team as we did not have a girl’s team in her age group or skill level.  She is a very skilled and tough player.

WOW FC wishes Leslie good luck as she moves on to bigger and better things.

Zion Lander will be staying close to home and attend Colorado Christian University in Lakewood Colorado. The Cougars play in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, so family and friends will have numerous opportunities to cheer for him. He will be playing in what many consider the hardest NCAA Division II conference in the country.

Zion played for WOW FC for 9 years. Although he later played for bigger clubs in Denver, he credits his success to the fundamental skills that he learned and the great foundation that was built at WOW FC. It was at WOW FC he made his first ODP team.

He hopes to contribute immediately and help the Cougars soccer program achieve new heights.

WOW FC wishes Zion good luck as he embarks on this new chapter in his life.

We are excited for what the future holds for these two exceptional young individuals. We will looking with eager anticipation. Keep representing and make us proud.
