AYSO United Program (formerly Challenge)

FC Camarillo

On January 1st, 2017, the AYSO club program established in Section 10 in 2014 as AYSO Challenge, joined the AYSO United program. For FC Camarillo teams, little changes at least for the foreseeable future. AYSO United(FC Camarillo in Region 68) teams are club teams competing in the Coast Soccer League in the Fall/Winter 2017/18 season.

What makes us different from other club programs?

  • Value: Our cost of participation is significantly lower (see below) than most club soccer programs.
  • Our Philosophies (see below): AYSO is the only youth sports organization that makes these philosophies the cornerstone of our club.
  • Volunteer Coaches/Administrators: While we utilize professional trainers, our coaches and administrators are dedicated volunteers, adding transparency, experience, perspective and additional value to your club soccer experience.

What are the costs to play AYSO United?

Costs for the program this year (2017/18) will be $585 and that will be pretty much all-inclusive: all registration, both AYSO and club, pre-season tournament, ref fees during the season, trainer fees (we have professional trainers who work with our players), uniform and State Cup fees. As agreed by families, teams might add an additional $100 (approx) to get a second pre-season tournament and a State Cup warm up tournament. And, players may choose to upgrade uniform packages with club-branded bags, warmups, etc., at additional expense.

The United Program operates under all the AYSO philosophies

Building on AYSO’s vision of providing “world-class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives,” and consistent with AYSO’s core philosophies, the AYSO United teams will offer paths for AYSO players to compete at some of the highest levels of youth soccer.

Everyone Plays
Players who are selected for the team get to play at least half of each game; We believe players develop BECAUSE they play.
Balanced Teams
Through bracketed play, our teams find their level of balanced competition.
Open Registration
Players are selected for the teams based on objective analysis of their ability by AYSO United Coaches AND independent evaluators.
Positive Coaching
United Teams are coached by AYSO Advanced Coaches who adhere to our coaching philosophy.
Good Sportsmanship
Winning is important but respecting the game, our teammates, the coaches, the officials and our opponents teach valuable life lessons that will endure far beyond any individual competition.
Player Development
United Teams support our philosophy of Player Development by giving our most accomplished players an environment in which they can continue to expand their skills and grow to their highest level of ability.
