Tball, Coach Pitch, Farm ?

At Vaquero in 2018 we tried a new division focused on our  7, and 8 year old's called Farm. In this division players learn the skills of pitching, catching, and fielding and most importantly adjusting their batting skills to read the pitch. Why is this different, in our Tball/coach pitch division the tee helps the player learn to bat and the coach  pitching with the intent for the player to hit the ball. Farm allows the player to begin to learn how to read the pitch when someone is trying to get you out.

At Vaquero we combine the Tball/Coach pitch division which focuses on 4 to 6 year olds. Studies show that in school children learn by working with peers at different skill levels. At Vaquero we bring that same idea to baseball, as we have found that players learn from one another more often than from an adult. In our Tball/Coach pitch division we start with the basics of how to catch and throw, positions and turn taking, as players progress in basic skills they learn the mechanics of playing positions and move to the coach pitching to them.
