Major Softball - District 8 Champions!

Introducing the DISTRICT 8 CHAMPION Major Softball All-Stars! This fantastic group completed District play tonight undefeated (3-0), outscoring their opponents by a combined 33-7 in the three games. This is Plaza's first District title in any division (baseball or softball) since 2015, and our first Major Softball District title since 1999! They will now represent District 8 in the Virginia State Major Softball Tournament hosted by Abingdon Little League (District 1) - they report Friday, July 5 with pool play scheduled to begin Saturday, July 6. The District 8 website (www.va8ll.org) will be updated with info as we get closer to the event. Congratulations to the players and coaches on an outstanding run - we are so proud of you all. On to States!
