Club Philosophy

The PMSC Elite program is for players who want to advance to the next level of their game. We require a 1 year commitment to playing (fall and spring seasons). We expect players to attend all practices, tournaments, games, and team trainings that the elite program provides. When making the decision to try out or not for an elite team, please consider whether your child and family can make this commitment to the higher fees, and a higher level commitment to soccer itself. We emphasize building self-confidence, good sportsmanship, team playing, and 100% effort given by players at all times. We want the kids to have fun while they are doing this but they need to have a level of commitment as well.

Season

The program consists of an annual tryout in the spring for the following year, which is a fall season and spring season. The fall season consists of 8 games. The spring season consists of 6-8 games. Games are played on Saturday and/or Sundays. U13 and above teams may not play in a Fall league due to kids playing on school teams, this will be decided on a team by team basis, after tryouts when the roster has been decided. Teams play in Lanco or CPYSL (Central Penn). All Elite teams will be participating in an indoor training and/or a winter season.

Financials

Cost is approximately $500 plus uniform cost ($70-$90) for the entire year for U12 age teams and below and $600 for U13 and above. This includes all costs related to the Fall & Spring seasons, 2 tournaments, team equipment, field paint and maintenance. 

Rosters

All age brackets U9-U12 will have a maximum roster of 14 players. U13 and above teams will have a roster between 16-18 players. All rosters, no matter what age group, are approved by the board members prior to acceptance being sent out. 

Coaches

Head coaches for any PMSC Elite team must be a USSF licensed coach at the minimum of an 'E' license or have completed the Grassroots courses (in-person and online) for the age group they coach. The club will pay for this licensing if you commit to at least one year of coaching afterward. A coach and asst. coach will be chosen every year, even if the coach was coaching for the previous year. The PMSC Board Members will review all coaches’ applications. 

Tryouts

Each age group will be assigned to 2 try-out time slots and we strongly recommend attending both sessions. It is very hard to accurately evaluate your child in just one session. The evaluators will divide up the players and run drills, small sided games etc. Once the teams are completed
