Registration opens late September and ends at the beginning of November.
Youth Basketball
Incarnation has one of the largest church basketball programs in Shelby County.
- Offered to boys and girls in grades 1 – 12. For grades 1 – 4 and 9 – 12 all teams are recreational with participation in the East Shelby Church Recreational Association (ESCRA). Grades 5 – 8 have the option of participation in competitive teams with Parochial Athletic Association (PAA). Competitive teams are available based on coach’s preference and team skill ability.
- We have over 20 teams and approximately 200 participants.
- Season starts first week of November for practices with games starting first week after Thanksgiving.
- Practices can be during week nights or on Sunday based on coach’s availability and gym time.
Recreational Basketball - ESCRA
- ESCRA Recreational games are held only on Saturdays at local church gyms in the Memphis area.
- All team members must play 50% of the game time.
- There is no end of season tournament
- Games start the first weekend in January and run for 8-9 weeks
Competitive Basketball - PAA
- PAA Competitive games are held on week nights and weekends at participating school gyms in the Memphis area.
- For competitive teams, it is the coach’s option for amount of game time played by each player. There is no guaranty a player will play in a given game. Players must work to earn play time.
- The Season begins before or after Thanksgiving and runs to Mid-February.
- Games are held at participating PAA Churches/Schools all over the Memphis Metro Area (including Mississippi and Arkansas).
- There is an end of season tournament known as the Bishop's Tournament.
- Records are maintained and awards are presented to the top 2 teams during league play and the Bishop's Tournament.
