2014 Giving Back to the Community Award presented to Todd Graham and the ASU Sun Devil Football Program

ASU is an inclusive partner of Chandler AYF and the entire Phoenix AYF Conference. The Sun Devils and Phoenix AYF began the partnership last year that has set the tone and opportunity for all youth football organizations to partner with them.  The AYF hosted Free Camp open to all that served over 1,000 kids in 2013 has led to an incredible opportunity for Chandler AYF kids, AYF kids, and families of all youth organizations, Chandler AYF also won the ASU 7on7 Challenge at Sun Devil Stadium at the ASU Fan Fest.  The fact the Sun Devils are looking to partner with the entire community and provide opportunities to inspire our youth has earned them the Giving Back to the Community Award.  The Award was presented to Head Coach Todd Graham at the Football & Fashion Celebrity Fundraiser on June 4th, presented by Gianna Nicole which benefited Chandler AYF at The Living Room at Downtown Ocotillo in Chandler. All Kids First

Chandler AYF is unique and does not focus on any other organization, instead we strive to partner with them to give a broader opportunity and benefit to the community.  We do pride ourselves in the community efforts that promote academic achievement and excellence.  Likewise the competition on the field has a national reputation of being one of the best in the country.  These can be directly correlated to the systems and processes that were put into place by our current AYF leadership.  The City of Chandler, Gilbert, and the East Valley has multiple Youth Football programs available to the community and we will continue to partner with them all as well as the community.  If they are keeping kids off the street , allowing kids to get exercise, and teaching the great game of football and cheerleading, it's all good!  We value the Coach/Player relationship and do not actively recruit organizations.  The parents decide and we support that 100%.

Commitment

At this time, Chandler AYF is looking to field between four and ten teams as we are still accepting coach/volunteer applications, if interested, please contact us.  We teach our participants to COMPETE! In the CLASSROOM, On the GRIDIRON, and On the MAT!  For the Fall 2014 Season - Our Focus is Football, Cheerleading, Academics, Giving Back, and Fun!  For those new to Chandler AYF, we welcome new players and families and look forward to meeting you all.

Equipment

Thanks to our generous partners and sponsors, Chandler AYF will be offering brand new equipment for the Fall 2014 season.  
Note:  equipment in season use is included for your child upon paying the full registration fee.

2014 Chandler AYF Helmet Color is BLACK Helmets with BLACK Face Mask for 2014.  If bringing your own, you can choose your finish (Matte or Gloss).  Chandler AYF will provide Gloss Black Helmet with Black Face Mask, included with Registration.

Chandler AYF has a Bring Your Own Discount Program.  This is an innovative discount program that allows parents/players that purchase their own equipment to receive a discount on their registration fees.  This was put in place due to many purchasing their child's own safety equipment, primarily Helmet and Shoulder Pads.  If this is being provided, we do not charge full registration fees to the family, thus the Bring Your Own Discount.  Bringing your own Helmets receive a $75 Discount and Bringing your own Shoulder Pads receive a $40 discount, you can provide both and receive a $115 max discount.

Practice Locations

Practice Field allocation will be distributed to each team prior to the start of the season.  We value the family and siblings will be placed at the same location unless there is an alternative request.  

Game Fields

Bigger and Better!  Stay Tuned for Exciting Announcements on this!  The Association is negotiating with several locations to host our teams.

Post Season

Chandler AYF competes in the Phoenix AYF Playoff and Bowl Championship Series following the regular season.  Based on how the team finishes, teams either make the playoffs and/or enter a 2 week Bowl System with match-ups vs. like teams.  Playoff and Bowl participation is completely an opt in for each team to decide prior to the close of the season and they will be scheduled accordingly.

The Phoenix AYF Playoffs are part of the AYF National Championships and the Winner of each competitive division earns a Bid to the AYF National Championships in Orlando, Florida.  The Phoenix AYF Playoffs are a 3 Week Qualifying Tournament, all teams that enter must advance each week as long as they continue to win (a first round loss will also land the team a Bowl Game vs. the other first round losing team)  Thus the term Playoff, we play a series of games to determine the team that will advance and represent the Phoenix AYF Conference as Champion.  All teams that enter must advance or should not enter, as they are taking the opportunity away from a team that fully committed.
