Farm League Baseball

Farm league baseball is all about getting the kids to hold the ball properly, give teammates a target to throw at, basic mechanics and fundamentals.  This is a great age to get the kids practicing in the backyard or at a local park.  There should never be glove far away while the kids are outside.  Get old Grandpa or Uncle Tony out in the yard and toss the ball around!

Equipment Checks!

Posted: Mar 25, 2014
We STRONGLY recommend the kids using cleats... It is very difficult to swing and use proper fielding techniques wihout them.  Also at this age they should be used to wearing an athletic supporter for protection, not only catching but playing any position in the field.

Backyard workout!

Posted: Apr 1, 2014

Get these little guys used to fly balls.  Take a tennis ball and throw some pop ups in the back yard, get them used to getting under the ball.  Doesn't have to be too high, see how many in a row they can catch without it hitting the ground!
