PYV is strictly a recreational league, open to all who register regardless of skill level. Because children develop physically, socially and emotionally at different rates, each participant has the opportunity to play and develop skills while gaining confidence to take the next step to a more competitive environment. 

The players are divided into two divisions; 3 - 4 graders and 5 - 6 graders.  Participants in grades 5th and 6th will meet on Mondays. Participants in grades 3rd and 4th will meet on Wednesdays.  All players will be placed on a team by the program director. Each participant is granted a teammate request. While we understand that having a friend on your team is optimal, please understand that it is not guaranteed.
 
The PYV season typically runs from March through May with no activities during spring break week. All practices/matches are played on a set day of the week during a time-slot of approximately 1 hour. 

PYV provides each team with 3 practices and 8 matches.  PYV teams play against other Springboro teams in their division. They do not compete against neighboring community teams, or participate in any tournaments.
