We are a competitive youth basketball program providing opportunities for student-athletes throughout the Albany and surrounding areas. We emphasize Academics and Character as equal partners to Athletics in the development of student-athletes. In order to maximize each student-athlete's potential, a great deal of time is spent on skill development.

The SGE's goal is to make this program fun for players. We want to create an environment of fun through hard work, selflessness, and enthusiasm. Being a competitive travel basketball team means playing time is not guaranteed. Each player must earn that right by demonstrating proper character and skills in practice. Team goals will be emphasized over the individual.

We recognize that not everyone will be able to afford the fees to be part of the South Georgia Elite "Rams" or "Lady Rams" program. The organization will assist players who need to raise funds for participation. In addition to AAU tournaments, we will participate in USBA and other Youth programs that participate in state and national tournaments. For our exposure teams, our goal is to provide maximum opportunities for each player to showcase their talents in front of hundreds of college coaches.
