The benefits of sports when done appropriately are overwhelming. Team sports teach kids more than fitness, they improve motor skills, increase self-esteem, and foster cooperation / team work. Soccer is the perfect introduction to sports because children can already walk and run when they start (3 years of age). They do not have to balance on an object or swing an object at a smaller object. They simply can run with or without a ball. Because of this, they do not get discouraged but rather build self-confidence and feel good about themselves.
3 - 4 years of age is the perfect time to start soccer. At this age, children have a wonderful imagination, they love to learn and try new things, and most importantly they love to have mommy and daddy watch them play. Fort Collins Sparks Camp - January 16th, 18th, 23rd, and 25th from 4:15 - 5:00 pm @ Harmony School - Registration is now open
South South Sparks Camp - February 7th - March 14th on Tuesdays from 6:00 -6:45 pm at Willow Creek Elementary - Registration will open next week.
