Pitch Hit and Run Champions
MRPGS hosted the local MLB Pitch Hit & Run competition for softballs girls ages 7 to 12. We had over 30 competitors this year throughout the 3 divisions. Lia Timmins won the Run portion and was declared the overall champion for the 7/8 division. Shania Healy won all the portions and was the overall champion for the 9/10 division. Morgan Wagner tied the Pitch portion with Francesca Buda (last year overall champion), won the hit portion and was declared the overall champion for the 11/12 division. Francesca Buda (not pictured) won the Run portion for the 11/12 division. All four girls will be eligible for the sectional competition and have a chance to advance to Citi Field to participate in further rounds. Congratulations to all the girls and good luck in the next round.
