If you have taken this course from another organization, e-mail your certification of completion to [email protected].

Why should I become a Coach?
Coaches are our most important resource in the development of the whole player. They promote team sportsmanship and teach skills to the players. Coaches are needed in all age groups. You furnish the willingness and commitment and we'll furnish the training and support. Every coach is trained and Safe Haven Certified prior to being authorized to coach the children. Our coaching staff is ready to assist in your success in any way we can. With our E-Sign volunteer registration, 100% of all registered volunteers with AYSO have a background check completed.

What training do I need to become a coach?
All volunteer coaches must be trained and certified for the age division in which they will coach. In addition,  Safe Haven and Concussion Awareness training is required and are both online courses. Once those are completed, there are in class courses for coach training. U6 through U10 training classes run between 2 - 5 hours to complete depending upon the division age. These courses are designed to help you succeed in enriching children's lives while providing a valuable service to the organization.

U6 AND U8 COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS OFFERED ONLINE AND IS SELF PACED.
U10 AND U12 COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS A COMBINED 5 HOURS
THE FOLLOWING CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRE SOME TIME IN SERVICE AT ONE OF THE ABOVE LEVELS.
U14 (INTERMEDIATE) COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS 15 HOURS
