Registration for Spring 2014 is now CLOSED. If you registered for Fall 2013 you are automatically enrolled for Spring 2014 and do not need to register at this time.

I registered in the Fall. Do I need to register for Spring?

If your child(ren) played in Fall 2013 you do not need to register for the spring. The full AYSO season is split between fall and spring sessions and when you register in the fall we automatically register you for the full season.

If your child(ren) did not play during the fall you must register for the spring.

Is my child eligible to play?

Children between the ages of 4-14 are eligible to play. The age guide below will determine what division your child plays in.

If your child is young for their school grade chances are their birth date may put them in a younger division than classmates. If you'd like to make sure your child plays with familiar faces from school he/she can play "up" a division. Example, a first grader's birth date is 8/5/2007. That birth date puts the child in the U6 division. Typically most first graders are in the U8 division. It is possible to play up with classmates. You can request this on your registration form and we will do our best to accommodate.

How much does it cost?

The fee structure below is valid for Spring 2014:

Uniform Sizes
Approximate sizing of our uniforms. They do run big but shorts have a drawstring waist. Players may wear the same uniform year after year until they outgrow. You may order uniforms online during the registration process. 

Youth XS ......... size 4/5
Youth S   ......... size 5/6
Youth M .......... size 7/8
Youth L   .......... size 10/12
Adult S    .......... size 14/16 (comparable to a youth XL)
(We also carry a limited supply of larger adult sizes)

Other items to purchase:

• Soccer ball (size 3 for U5/U6/U8; size 4 for U10/U12; size 5 for U14)
• Cleats (cleats are not mandatory but you'll see most kids wear them)
• Shin guards (there are many styles of shin guards and they must be worn under the soccer socks to every practice and game)

So how do I register?

There are several ways to register with Selinsgrove AYSO: online, mail-in or drop-off. The easiest way is to register online on this website but choose whichever option is most convenient for you.

Online Registration

Beginning on November 1, 2013 Selinsgrove AYSO will be moving to a new online registration process that we believe is simpler and more convenient for our families. Some of the benefits include:

• One-stop shopping...this new process offers a single registration, uniform ordering and payment experience.
• Player profiles will be stored as part of your main account profile so you will not need to re-enter this information unless it needs updating. This means less data entry for parents and faster future registrations!
• Parents will have easy access to complete registration and payment information, both current and historical.
• The new registration system takes the familiar shopping cart approach employed by most e-commerce websites. Simply select the division program for each player you are registering, specify whether you need a uniform, add it all to your registration "cart" and checkout...it's all automated, familiar and super-simple!
• Online Payments!...you now have the option to pay for registration and uniform fees securely online using a credit card. You no longer need to attend an in-person registration event. A small processing fee will apply.

To get started you just need to create an account on this website if you haven't already done so. Just click the    button found at the top right of the page. It only takes a minute. Be sure to write down your username and password so you can use it for future registrations. If you already have an account just click the  button.

Once you are logged in the website will walk you through a series of screens where you will enter information about the child(ren) you are registering, select the programs you are interested in, purchase uniforms and checkout. The entire process is automated and should only take a few minutes. When you have completed registration you will receive an order confirmation email at the email address you provided.

Drop-Off Registration

There will be no drop-off option for Spring registration. Please register online or by mail.

I'm finally registered...now what?

The regional board and team coaches will meet in early March and coaches will receive their spring rosters. Your child's coach will contact you and provide all the team-specific details (when practices start, game schedule, team rules, etc.) If you are registering for the U5 program you will receive a postcard or email with all the details. You can also check the U5 page on this website for upcoming information.

Practices usually begin in mid-March and games begin in early April. The season runs about 8-10 weeks depending on holidays and normally wraps up the last week of May or first week of June.  

Late Registration (Waitlist)

If you miss the registration deadline you can still mail-in or drop-off your registration/uniform paperwork and payment but you will be placed on a waitlist. If we have room to place your child you will be contacted by our regional registrar before spring practices start. If we are unable to place your child on a team you will receive a full refund.

Finally...

Please keep in mind that a considerable amount of time and effort are required by the dedicated AYSO volunteers behind the scenes (coaches, team parents, regional board members, etc) to ensure each season is safe and enjoyable for everyone involved. We have to set deadlines so that the area scheduler has sufficient time to create fair and balanced schedules and the only way they can do that is if they know how many teams there are. The deadlines affect not only our Selinsgrove region but the area in which we play. Our area includes Lewisburg, Middleburg, Line Mountain, Mifflinburg, Milton, West Snyder, Northumberland, and Warrior Run.
