CONGRATULATIONS SRYSA U14 Girls!!

The Slippery Rock Youth Soccer Association would like to congratulate the u14 Girls team for winning their Division Championship at the PA West Open Tournament at Edinboro the weekend of 6/24-6/26.   The Slippery Rock Girls defeated a tough Brookline team 1-0 in the finals.  The Girls were able to advance from group play with:

1-1 tie against Freeport
3-3 tie against Riverside
5-0 win against Elizabeth Forward

From there the girls pulled off an exciting victory in the semi-finals on Sunday by pulling out a 2-1 victory with less than a minute to go in overtime (extra time) in a rematch vs Freeport.

The championship team was made up of the following players:
Taylor Balint, Hannah Burtner, Hillary Burtner, Katie Griffith, Kendall Grossman, Julia Hart, Emma Hays, Rhi Laughlin, Eve Miller, Rylee Novad, Emily Raine, Kaliegh Sarnese, Sydney Smith, and Isabelle Willison.
