2025-26 NJ Icedogs Tryouts will be held at the Ice House in Hackensack on the following dates:

• Bantam 14U | 2011-2012 | 6:00-7:00PM
• Midget 16U | 2009-2010 | 7:15-8:15PM
• Midget 18U | 2007-2008 | 7:15-8:15PM

Mite 8U Players (Age 8 and under) do not have tryouts. Only registration is required.

To tryout for the New Jersey Icedogs please complete the following:

1. Complete the online player registration via the NJ Icedogs web site. If you already have a NJ Icedogs Sports Connect user ID, please use that user ID and click on the Login button in the upper right hand corner of the screen. If you don't have a NJ Icedogs Sports Connect user ID, please click on the Register button in the upper right hand corner of the screen where you will be prompted to create one.  Once you log in, you will be able to select the players and programs you can register for.  This will include a $125.00 non-refundable tryout fee if paid by March 28th.  After March 28th the non-refundable tryout fee will be $175.00.  

2. Come to the rink 30 minutes before your assigned tryout time with a full set of equipment. 

3. When you arrive, check in at registration table with payment. You will be given a tryout jersey that is yours to keep.

Payment by Check (Preferred):
Be sure to bring a check for $500. This is a non-refundable deposit that will hold your spot until the teams are picked. If you are chosen the $500 is applied to your tuition. If you are not then your check will be returned to you. 

Payment by Venmo:
You can also pay the $500 non-refundable deposit via Venmo (https://venmo.com/u/NJ-ICEDOGS). Please enter "Tryout Deposit / Player’s Name" in the note section and you must ensure that "Turn on for purchases" toggle is off (see below).

• Mite 8U: $1,260 for a combination of 20+ practices and 20+ games, plus one tournament.

• Squirt 10U: $2,520 for 20 practices, 30+ games and two tournaments.

• PeeWee 12U: $2,625 for 20 practices, 30+ games and two tournaments.

• Bantam 14U: $2,625 for 20 practices, 30+ games and two tournaments.

• Midget 16U & 18U (Short season from Sept to mid-Nov): $1,470 for 10+ practices and 14+ games.

Goalies & Siblings

• Goalies: Half-price for Squirt 10U, PeeWee 12U, Bantam 14U, and Midget 16U & 18U!

Payments

Please note that final payment is due no later than August 1, 2025. Final payment must be paid via a check. 

• Payments received after August 1st will be assessed a $100.00 late fee.
