What is the pricing for Spring 2025 and when does registration close?
· Teeball $160
· Coach Pitch $175
· Minors, Majors, Juniors, Seniors $200
· Early bird registration runs from October 21st to November 30th. Save $25 per child!
· Last day to register is March 1st
· No refunds granted after March 1st. Partial refunds may be requested by email [email protected]
Is there a payment plan option?
· Yes! You can divide the fee into 3 payments.
· $100 per player will be due by November 30th and the remaining balance will be split into 2 more payments due December 31st and January 30th
· Account balance must be paid in full by March 1st
What is included in the fee?
· Your player will receive a jersey and hat for baseball program or a jersey and socks & bow for softball program.
· There will also be a picture package included. Picture schedule will be posted at a later date but typically occurs during opening day. There will be no make up picture day.
What equipment does my player need?
Glove
Baseball/softball pants
Batting helmet (optional, coaches can help you determine right length and weight)
Bat (optional, coaches can help you determine right length and weight)
Is my child eligible to play with Greenfield Little League?
· NEW Little League® Baseball League Choice: Players league age 3 - 7 (age as of August 31, 2025) can now register and play for any Little League program they choose, regardless of where they live or go to school.
· Ages 8-16 must reside within our boundaries (our boundaries cover most of Bakersfield, check out the little league finder online at Little League Finder
o If there is no league available when entering your address and you would like to join our league, please email us at [email protected] and we can assist with getting a waiver secured to play.
What is needed to register?
· Birth Certificate Birth certificate upload is required for ALL players.
· Residency /School Enrollment: Residency (3 proofs) or School Enrollment form is only required for players league age 8 and older even if you've provided in the past; (Players league age 3 - 7 are NOT required to provide). School enrollment form has been found to be the easiest to complete.
· Your registration will not be considered final until all required documents are provided and registration is paid in full.
What division should I register my child in?
· If multiple divisions show as open for your player once you put in their birthday, you can register them in any that are showing as available. Keep in mind the upper level division will require past experience to play (example: minor and major).
· Division Placement: Signing up for a division does NOT guarantee placement in that division. Players will be placed in divisions based on Little League rules, number of teams, age, and skill level.
*** Your player’s league age is determined by the Little League Baseball® and Little League Softball® Age Charts. When does the season start and what day are games and practices?
· Season is slated to start first week of April (weather permitted). We hope to have practices for teams to start 1-2 weeks before. Season will end first week of June.
· Games will be played on Saturdays and one night during the week. There will between 12-15 games for Minors, Majors, Jr’s and Seniors. Minimum 10 games for teeball and coach pitch.
· Practice will be 1-2 weeknights per week during the season and last between 1-1.5 hours. Practice schedules vary from team to team based on field sharing and coach/manager discretion.
o GBA will attempt to provide at least 1 weeknight slot for team to practice on a field, however practices do not need to be held at GBA if the time does not work for the team. Teams are also encouraged to hold practices with other teams.
o If a team requires lights for practice at GBA, there will be a cost of $20 an hour.
