About JSB Baseball

Established in 2011, the not-for-profit Junior Swamp Bats (JSB) give New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Vermont baseball and softball players the opportunity to develop and enhance their skills with coaches who have extensive college playing and coaching experience.

The organization began with one 12U team and has grown to include 6 baseball teams, 4 softball teams and development programs for both sports in 2022. Players that are selected to join a JSB travel team will face top competition from around the Northeast. In addition, they get the benefit of utilizing our new 10,000 square foot training facility.  The new indoor training center, opened in 2019, allows JSB to expand its programming, offer longer practices and additional benefits, like free cage time, for its players. While our facility and winter training form the bedrock of the JSB, having access to good fields and the ability to play in an established league for most of our teams completes the experience.

The results showed through in 2022, as we had three teams at the 11U, 12U and 14U levels win state titles in the New Balance Select League, one team (14U) win a New England regional title and two teams (11U, 14U) earn bids to the upcoming USABL World Series. We are also proud of the fact that many of our local Cal Ripken, Little League and Babe Ruth all-stars teams are led by players who have come through our system.

Junior Swamp Bats is invested in benefiting both JSB and non-JSB players.  The organization offers a variety of clinics, run by our experienced coaches, to non-JSB players.  Junior Swamp Bats also encourages its players to participate in local baseball and softball programs.  We want to enhance all levels of baseball and softball in the area and believe our players are good ambassadors of those efforts.

Cost:

10U, 11U, 12U: $1,500

 Coaching:

We always strive to have coaches who have college or high school coaching experience, and a college playing background. Foremost, we want coaches who are dedicated to making kids better. Every year is a challenge to bring in the right group of coaches, but we will continue to seek out the best candidates.
