2024-25 Program Pricing Notes: HFC has eliminated the need to pay separate “team fees” to team treasurers and HFC club fees to ABYSA. ALL HFC soccer expenses are, and will continue to be, paid to ABYSA and are part of our all-inclusive pricing and monthly payment plans are available for all levels. The only added costs for your child’s soccer will be the purchase of a uniform and personal/family travel to matches and events.
We are very pleased, that with the exception of price increases associated with the ECNL Regional League, this year’s increase is approximately 4%. HFC makes every effort to control the cost of competitive soccer through tournament hosting, fundraising (Marathon Games, corporate sponsorship), and the use of our volunteer base. All price increases, including those for ECNL, are directly related to the increased cost of travel, tournament registrations, league fees, and referee fees. ABYSA is committed to absorbing some of the increased cost of travel this year in order to control the rise in costs to families, while also increasing the quality of our programs. The cost of our programs are extremely competitive when compared to other organizations in North Carolina and neighboring states providing similar levels of service and opportunities for players to thrive.

Methods for Reducing the Cost of HFC Programming Methods for Reducing the Cost of HFC Programming

Aid to Players and Families:
It is the philosophy of ABYSA/HFC that cost should not be a deterrent for any qualified player to participate in HFC's Competitive or Academy soccer programs. Therefore, affordable monthly payment plan options are available for players in all programs. In addition, ABYSA/HFC has established 3 programs to mitigate the costs of playing classic soccer: the Ingle's Gift Card program, Riverside Tournament Program Ad Sales, and G.O.A.L.S. Financial Aid.

Ingle's Gift Card Program
Ingle's gift cards are purchased by ABYSA/HFC at a discount from Ingle's. Player families purchase these gift cards at face value from their team representative or HFC scrip volunteers. 5% of the purchase is applied as a credit against their team fees. Example: A purchase of $100 of Ingle's gift cards yields $100 worth of groceries (or gas!) and a $5 reduction of the player's fees. Some families have paid all their fees from Ingle's gift card purchases alone!

Tournament Program Advertising Sales
If you’re looking for ways to help pay for your family’s cost of playing HFC Academy, Intermediate, or Classic soccer, you can raise money to help directly offset your player’s fees by participating in program ad sales for the Annual Riverside Summer Shootout soccer tournament program. Families will receive credit for 50% of the value of each ad they sell.
(For example, if you sell a full page ad for $450, you will receive $225 credit.). The deadline for tournament Ad Sales is July 28, 2023.
We hope you will find this program helpful for your family as an effective way to offset travel soccer costs. It has not been unusual for families to pay for nearly all of their player fees using this program!

Financial Aid Program

G.O.A.L.S. Financial Aid (Granting Opportunities for Advancement in Life through Soccer)
This program provides financial support to committed players who otherwise would not be able to participate in classic soccer. The Financial Aid Application is an online form. All information is kept confidential. Applicants should be committed to competitive soccer and should regularly participate in the other fundraising opportunities offered by ABYSA. The Financial Aid is need-based and each application is individually reviewed by the G.O.A.L.S. Funding Committee.

ABYSA is confident that, by utilizing the Ingle's gift card, Tournament Ad Sales and if necessary, G.O.A.L.S Financial Aid program, any committed player and family can financially afford to participate in our competitive soccer program.
