The LA County Dept. of Public Health requires all youth sports to follow our safety protocols. These are necessary based on the city health code and our own D16 Safety Protocols. All protocols are non-negotiable and must be followed at all times.
1. Participants must wear a face mask at all times, including when on the sidelines during competitions. All coaches, support staff, family members, observers, and visitors are required to wear an appropriate face mask that covers the nose and the mouth at all times.
2. As much as possible, participants, coaches and support staff are to maintain a) a physical distance of at least six feet between each other at all times and b) an eight feet distance between each other during times of heavy physical exertion.
3. No congregating of players/parents before, during or after practices
4. Cover your cough with your elbow or tissue (wash hands immediately)
5. Stay home if you are sick or if you had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
6. Wash hands frequently
7. Perform daily health screenings and pre-screen checks with your team. This must be an active health screening with a volunteer to determine if the player has any symptoms or has knowingly come in contact with a person that has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
8. Do not share any equipment (space out equipment to adhere to six-foot mandatory physical distancing). It is recommended that you do not use any dugout benches or areas where plays may be forced to come in close contact with one another.
9. Immediately notify your manager if any member in your family has come in contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 in the last 14 days. Note: any confirmed exposure to a player or team will result in a communication sent to the team on the field at the time from our league and then communication from the Public Health Department.
Thank you for continuing to adhere to these safety protocols set forth by the city and our district.
