2024 Sunday Showcase
General Information
The Bombers are Greenfield Youth Baseball’s Sunday Showcase teams. We are not a “travel” group but a program that allows players an additional opportunity to be on a team in which they practice more, play more and compete against other leagues in a stronger, competitive environment.
Players must try out for the team and pay an additional fee above the normal GYBA registration fees. We hold team activities in the fall and winter. The Sunday Showcase season is played simultaneously with the recreational league. All players MUST play on GYBA recreational teams as well as being a member of the Bombers team.
Teams will be selected based on the results of player evaluation sessions open to all GYBA players. Initial rosters will be completed by September 15th and will compete through August of the following year.
Games are typically played on Sundays in the spring and summer. In recent years, however, there have been more opportunities for local tournaments when they don’t interfere with recreational league games.
Teams may practice in the winter months. We attempt to schedule baseball activities to minimize conflicts with other sports. Our goal is not to encourage one-sport athletes, but to afford higher-ability players the opportunity to play at higher levels of competition, while still allowing them to participate in other sports and activities.
We will field teams from 7U through 12U age groups. Teams will consist of up to 12 players selected at various tryouts to be scheduled. Fall and winter workouts will take place at 84 Sports and, as weather allows, at Greenfield Baseball Park.
Program cost is $300 for 7U-8U and $325 for 9U-12U. Sponsorships and/or fundraising can decrease the cost even further. Initial deposit of $100 must be paid by October 1st. Balance is due by January 1st. Scholarship opportunities are available.

**If you are unable to attend the initial tryout, please reach out directly to the appropriate coach for the player's age division.
