OK Alternative Spring Baseball League

  • STATS VS TOOLS - WHY TOOLS ALWAYS WIN AND STATS DON'T MATTER

One of the things that parents of young baseball players have a hard time understanding is how high school stats play such a small role in the recruiting and scouting process.

  • WHERE HAVE ALL THE CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL PLAYERS GONE?

Is there a trend away from playing baseball for your high school team in California? If the roster for the ABD Bulldogs Spring League team is any indication, it is more of a radical shift.

  • WHY SINGLES AREN'T GETTING YOU LOOKS

Why do coaches love “showcase” players? Have you ever been to an event or showcase where college coaches and professional scouts are focused on only a few players?

About Our Club

The OK Alternative Spring Baseball League (OASBL) is an Independent High School Spring League based out of Oklahoma City.

As a league, we encourage players to go the traditional route of playing High School baseball first. The OASBL administration does not recruit high school players to play in the league. The OASBL is a TRUE ALTERNATIVE venue for High School players who make the choice on their own due to: Being cut, eligibility issues, transfer issues, home schooling, red-shirting..., etc..

There will be many reasons why players will participate in the Oklahoma Alternative Spring Baseball League in 2015. Just one or two of the features below may be the reason. When you add them all up, the league becomes an outstanding TRUE ALTERNATIVE venue for High School and College Red-Shirt Freshman Baseball players who wish to play and develop in a Competitive Baseball League during the Spring Season.
