About Our Program

Welcome To The MaxPro Hockey School

Max Gratchev Boston Stars Hockey

The MaxPro Hockey School is a comprehensive hockey program encompassing a skills development as well as two hockey programs, Boston Stars Hockey and the Max Pro Jets.  The Boston Stars and the MaxPro Jets provide intermediate and elite-level AAA tier 1 premier hockey teams consisting of mites through U18 teams. Boston Stars Hockey teams play in the MPDHL hockey league known as "The Massachusetts Premier Development Hockey League" and the MaxPro Jets compete in the Elite Junior Prospects League.

The foundation of our program is a premier skills development program, using a  "Ten Steps" methodology that helps dedicated players to excel and become premier hockey players.    Many former members of the MaxPro "Ten Steps" and Boston Stars program have used the skills learned in our program to play Division 1 college hockey as well as in the Junior leagues. Numerous former members of the club play at the professional level in the NHL, AHL and KHL hockey leagues. Over the years, Boston Stars teams have succeeded at both the league and tournament levels.

The Boston Stars Hockey and MaxPro Jets are sanctioned members of USA Hockey.

The MaxPro Ten Steps Program

Posted: February 2015
MaxPro Hockey Schools “Ten Steps” program is divided into 28 sessions for each Saturday nights from September through March. Each session is limited to 15 players. Ten Steps allows make-ups (if you are unable to make a session, you can make it up at a different session or a future date).

Tournaments

Posted: February 2015
Tournaments are a big part of what we do at the Boston Stars and MaxPro Jets. Each team participates in 2-3 tournaments per season and play against teams from all parts of the US and Canada. The purpose of the the tournaments is to engage in competition outside our league and also get our players the exposure they need to prepare for High School and College Hockey.
