Rec Outdoor Soccer - Registration Notes

  1. Registration will be on-line from March 1st (1 AM) to June 15th (11 PM). Registration for U6 will end June 30th (11 PM).
  2. Please see below for NEW birth date ranges of each age group.
  3. Registration cost will be $100 per player.
  4. Sign up early, space may be limited. If you do not see your child's age group listed, it is most likely full at the moment, but you can email Tony Steimel at [email protected] for further instruction.
  5. PLEASE volunteer to coach, we can't do this without you. Our program is 100% volunteer, and we can't operate without parents pf players volunteering to head coach and assistant coach. Email Tony Steimel at [email protected] if you are interested. Include your full name, email address, phone number, and the gender/age group(s) in the email.
  6. Current and/or past travel players are welcome, but please identify this during the on-line registration process.
  7. Teammate and coaching requests can be stated during the on-line registration process, but understand these are not guaranteed.
  8. Please review all information in this web page.
  9. We do not allow children to "play down" into the next lower age group.
  10. If your child has above average ability and you would like him/her to "play up" into the next higher age group, please email Tony Steimel at [email protected] with the request.

Every attempt will be made to provide advance notice for practices and games that are canceled due to inclement weather. For practices, canceling will be up to the coaches discretion with the understanding that we do not want the fields ruined. For in-house games, canceling will be up to the outdoor soccer board. For UCSL (U12 and U15) games, canceling will be up to the USCL outdoor soccer board.

Age Groups (2023):


Under 6 (Coed) - Birth Date Range 1/1/2018 to 12/31/2019
An instruction program oriented around the kids having fun and learning some basics about soccer. This is an in-house group playing only other teams from Emmorton. This program meets Saturdays beginning the first Saturday after Labor Day weekend and going for 8 weeks. Format for games will be 4 v 4 without a goalie.
 
Under 8 (Girls or Boys) - Birth Date Range 1/1/2016 to 12/31/2017
Teams play in the Upper Chesapeake Soccer League (UCSL). We will play teams from Dublin/Darlington, Havre de Grace, Kingsville, and other teams from Emmorton. Practices during the month of August are one weekday evening and Saturdays. During the months of September and October, practices will be one weekday evening with a game on Saturday. There will be a Flight Series at the end of the regular season. Format for the games will be 7 v 7.

Under 10 (Girls or Boys) - Birth Date Range 1/1/2014 to 12/31/2015
Teams play in the Upper Chesapeake Soccer League (UCSL). We will play teams from Dublin/Darlington, Havre de Grace, Kingsville, and other teams from Emmorton. Practices during the month of August are one weekday evening and Saturdays. During the months of September and October, practices will be one weekday evening with a game on Saturday. There will be a Flight Series at the end of the regular season. Format for the games will be 7 v 7.

Under 12 (Girls or Boys) - Birth Date Range 1/1/2012 to 12/31/2013
Teams play in the Upper Chesapeake Soccer League (UCSL). We will play teams from Dublin/Darlington, Havre de Grace, Kingsville, and other teams from Emmorton. This is a more competitive environment. Practices during the month of August are one weekday evening and Saturdays. During the months of September and October, practices will be one weekday evening with a game on Saturday. There will be a Flight Series at the end of the regular season. Format for the games will be 9 v 9.

Under 15 (Girls or Boys) - Birth Date Range 1/1/2009 to 12/31/2011
Teams play in the Upper Chesapeake Soccer League (UCSL). We will play teams from Dublin/Darlington, Havre de Grace, Kingsville, and other teams from Emmorton. This is a more competitive environment. Practices during the month of August are one weekday evening and Saturdays. During the months of September and October, practices will be one weekday evening with a game on Saturday. There will be a Flight Series at the end of the regular season. Format for the games will be 11 v 11.

2.  Field Locations:
  U6 play at Emmorton Elementary School (near water tower)
  U8 & U10 play at Box Hill South Park (off Windy Laurel Drive)
U12 play around Harford County. Practices and home games will be at Ring Factory Elementary School (lower field)
  U15 play around Harford County. Practices and home games will be at Ring Factory Elementary School (upper field)
3.  Team shirts will be provided to every registered player.
4.  For the U6 age group, each player will receive a participation medal at the end of the season.
5.  For U8 through U15 age groups, there will be a Flight Series game(s) at the end of the regular season. There will be no trophies or participation medals given out at the end of the season. If the coach and parents of the team would like to do participation medals, this will need to be handled on a team basis.
6.  Picture Day will be September 23, 2023.
