U10B Fireballs help Annie's Orphans

Durango, CO - As their community service project, the U10 Boys Fireballs soccer team, coached by Tom Settle, held a "Dog Food Drive" for Annie's Orphans No-Kill Dog Shelter.  Over 300 pounds of dog food were donated, in addition to generous cash donations, canned food, dog collars and toys.  The boys (with parents and siblings) set up collection stations outside Columbine Christian School and Albertsons Grocery Store.  On behalf of all the homeless dogs, we were very grateful for the generosity shown by the public.  We were also impressed by the kindness and respect with which the public treated our children.  The boys (and girls) were great ambassadors for DYSA.  DYSA parents from other teams stopped by, as did Anna, owner of Annie's Orphans.  It was a great experience.
