U12G Flash run food drive for Manna Soup Kitchen

Durango, CO - The U12 girls Flash, coached by Jacob Schmoker and Katie Lloy, organized a food drive for Mana Soup Kitchen.  Each Flash player distributed 4 bags to neighbors to collect food items. The girls collected bags and delievered them to Manna. The bags had the below information on them and a pick up date. Along with this the “Flash” included envelopes stapled to the inside of the paper bag to collect cash or check donation for Manna.

The food collected is for Manna's Back Pack program. Manna Soup Kitchen is currently running a “Back Pack” program in which they serve underprivileged youth by providing easy to cook food for the weekend. Because most of these items are not part of our usual donations, Manna relies heavily on food drives to provide this service.

Here is a list of items needed:Fruit cups, Chef Boyardee raviolis, Spaghetti Os, etc., Granola bars, Fresh fruit (apples or bananas), Cans of tuna, Applesauce cups, Peanut butter, Jellym Individually wrapped snacks (crackers, etc

Other items needed for the Soup Kitchen include small shampoos, conditioners and bars of soap.

If you are interested in holding a food drive for Manna, please contact Darcy Cole at 970-385-5095 x2, or [email protected].
