Baseball

CoEd T-Ball

CoEd T-ball is geared toward boys and girls 4-5 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In T-Ball, players hit a soft Incrediball baseball off of a batting tee (no one pitches). Every player plays in the field and bats each inning. To encourage sportsmanship and keep the games moving along, we do not keep score in T-Ball. The primary goals of T-Ball are to instruct players in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Also, the rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. Players provide a glove, but LSLL supplies a uniform (jersey and hat) that the player keeps at the end of the season.

Instructional

Instructional is aimed at boys and girls  6-8 years old and have played at least one year of CoEd T-Ball. Instructional, also called  "machine pitch" and "kid pitch" is designed to further enhance the skills that were learned in T-Ball. Coaches pitch a RIF (Reduced Injury Factor) baseball to their own team for the entire season. Only 9-10 players play in the field and everyone bats each inning. Players are selected to teams by means of a draft by the coaches and overseen by a league player agent to ensure a fair level of competition during the season.  To encourage sportsmanship and keep the games moving along.
