The Nease Boys Basketball team ended the week on a positive note with a 41 - 39 victory over Wolfson. The back and forth affair was tight throughout with five points being the biggest lead for either team. Nursing a two point lead with 20 seconds left, the Panther defense locked down Wolfson and forced a contested shot that bounced off the rim as time expired. Senior Matt Lawrence led the Panthers with 14 hard fought points coming in the paint, followed by Senior Sam Guenther's 12.

The day prior, the boys fell to District rival Saint Augustine in overtime. Facing a tenacious Yellow Jacket defense, Nease worked hard to keep the game close in the first half. But thanks to their persistence and a strong defensive effort, the Panther's tied the game under with under a minute left and had possession to win the game on the last shot. Guenther got the inbound pass with under ten seconds left and drove to the basket. Unfortunately his layup was waved off as time expired. In overtime, the Panthers quickly fell behind by seven but still had a shot for the lead with under 30 seconds left but couldn't push the game to a second overtime.

The Panther's record stands at 3-4 (1-1 in District Play).

The JV team flipped the script of the Varsity. They beat Saint Augustine in overtime, before falling to Wolfson by three points.
