Fundamentals Spring 2025

Program Overview:

FUNdamentals is an introductory soccer program designed for 3 and 4-year-old players. Our innovative approach focuses on fostering physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development through fun, creative, and imaginative activities. Our dedicated staff and volunteer coaches employ formative systems to engage children of different stages, ensuring an enriching experience for every participant.

Program Highlights:

Small groups led by a staff coach and parent volunteer
40-minute sessions each week
Curriculum designed to enhance physical literacy and technical soccer skills
Emphasis on instilling a love for soccer and an active lifestyle

Practice Structure (40 minutes):

Warm-up with ball dribbling at different speeds (5 mins)
1st Activity (8 mins)
2nd Activity (8 mins)
3rd Activity (8 mins)
4th Activity (8 mins)
Team Cheer

What is Needed:

Size 3 soccer ball
Shin guards
Tennis shoes or soccer cleats
Water

Basic Information:

Spring Season: April-May ( 7 Classes Total)
Ages: 2020 and 2021 birth years
Class Time: Monday at Cheat Lake: 5:20 pm - 6:00 pm & 6:10 pm - 6:50 pm
Wednesday at WVU Rec Center: 5:20 pm - 6:00 pm & 6:10 pm - 6:50 pm
Friday at WVU Rec Center: 5:20 pm - 6:00 pm
Price: $90 (Comes with a t-shirt!)

Dates:

Monday Classs will start on April 7th to May 19th

Wednesday Class will start on April 9th to May 21st

Friday Class will start on April 11th to May 23rd

Communication:

You will receive a text and email one week prior to the start of the season with instructions to join the team on the Mojo App.
