U6/U8 Spring Season 2026

Program Overview:
The Recreational Soccer Program is open to players of all skill levels and ages, providing an opportunity for enjoyment and development without the emphasis on travel or high-level competition. Our teams are formed independently for each spring and fall season based on player ages. All teams will be ran by volunteer coaches but overseen by our academy coaches within our league.

Key Points:
Age Requirements: Birth Years 2018 through 2020
Season Dates: April-May


Practice and Game Schedule:
  • You can not pick your time or day but you can mark your availability throughout the week. At least two days must be selected.
  • Practice once a week at either our Laurel Point Soccer Complex or Cheat Lake Soccer Complex.
  • Games on weekends: Saturday for U6 and U8. ALL GAMES are at Laurel Point Soccer Complex.
  • Training typically starts after 5 pm. Training normally last 60 minutes.

Communication:
  • Teams will be contacted via email/text to join the MOJO app for the season.
  • All communication will be facilitated through the app.

Game Days - U6/U8 Fall 2025:
  • U6 Game Day: 9 am - 10 am
  • U8 Game Day Schedule: 10:30 am between 1 pm
  • All games will be on selected Saturdays. 4-5 game days in a season.
  • Game Days are structured for player development in a 4 v 4 format.

Registration:
  • Days and times cannot be chosen, but you can specify your availability on the registration form.
  • Training generally starts at 5 pm or later.
  • Soccer Buddy requests (limited to one buddy) can be made but are not guaranteed. Soccer buddies are a teammate request
  • Coach requests are not available during registration.

App Information:
  • One week before the season begins, you will receive an email/text to join your team on the MOJO app. This is all each team will communicate throughout the season.

U9-U18 Recreational League Fall 2025

Program Overview:
The Recreational Soccer Program is open to players of all skill levels and ages, providing an opportunity for enjoyment and development without the emphasis on high-level competition. Our teams are formed independently for each spring and fall season based on player ages. All teams will be ran by volunteer coaches but overseen by our academy coaches within our league.

Key Points:
Age Requirements: Birth Years 2007 through 2017
REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON Feb 28th

Practice and Game Schedule:
  • You can not pick your time or day but you can mark your availability throughout the week. At least two days must be selected.
  • Practice once a week.
  • Games on weekends: Saturday (all day) or Sunday ( afternoon). Games can be played either Sat or Sunday
  • Depending on which Clubs have teams that we can play, you can travel up to an hour and a half.
  • Training typically starts after 5 pm.

Communication:
  • Teams will be contacted via email/text to join the MOJO app for the season.
  • All communication will be facilitated through the app.
  • Link will be sent out via email/text one week prior to the start of the season

Game Days:
All games will be released by Sept 1st. We have to work with other organizations to schedule games.
  • U10 is a 7v7 format
  • U11-U12 is a 9v9 format
  • U13 and older is a 11 v 11 format

Registration:
  • Age Groups are combined. U9/U10 (2016-2017) , U11/U12 (2014-2015), U13/U14 (2012-2013) and then U15-U18 (2008-2011)
  • Days and times cannot be chosen, but you can specify your availability on the registration form.
  • Training generally starts at 5 pm or later.
  • Soccer Buddy requests (limited to one buddy) can be made but are not guaranteed. Soccer buddies are a teammate request
  • Coach requests are not available during registration.
  • Older rec groups can be co-ed depending on numbers
  • Older rec groups location can be changed due to numbers. We will inform you if this does happen.

Volunteer Coaches Certification Due Date- March 28th

Peter McGahey will run the coaches clinic. Peter is a former NCAA Division I and II Women’s Head Coach, a United State Soccer Federation A Licensed Coach, a USA soccer Coach Educator, director of ODP for West Virginia and teaches at WVU.
