Updated Volunteer Options
In order to alleviate some of the confusion that follows volunteer signups, we have made a small change to our volunteer options. The role of Team Mom has now been split into two separate roles, Dugout Coach and Team Coordinator. Below is a brief breakdown of all volunteer roles and their requirements:
- Head Coach
- Responsibility for organizing practices as well as teaching and coaching the game of Baseball to players.
- Organize staff of Assistant coaches, Dugout coach, and Team Coordinator.
- Follow rules and directives of Smyrna Baseball League Board of Directors and meet specific criteria for coaching.

- Assistant Coach
- Assist the Head Coach in organizing practices as well as teaching and coaching the game of Baseball to players.
- Follow rules and directives of Smyrna Baseball League Board of Directors and meet specific criteria for coaching.

- Dugout Coach
- Act as moral coach for all players.
- Responsible for maintaining player batting lineup, bat retrieval, and general dugout order.
- Works with the Head and Assistant coaches as needed during practices.

- Team Coordinator
- To act as the liaison between the coach and the parents.
- Responsible for team administrative tasks such as concession volunteers and team communication.
- NOTE: Team Coordinator can neither participate on the field of play/practice nor help in the dugout during games.
