8U Athletics Select - Season Recap
The AYRA 8U Select team had a successful summer, playing a 10 game schedule that included two tournaments. The 8U A’s finished runner-up in the Silver Bracket of the HCYP Invitational, as well as runner-up in the AYRA All-Star Bash. The coaches thank the parents, players, and leadership of AYRA for their help in this team’s inaugural season.
8U Athletics Select - Week of July 24
The AYRA 8U SAS team played in the HCYP Invitational. The team went 2-2 in the tournament and finished runner up in the Silver Championship Bracket. Way to go, A's!!!
9U Athletics - Season Recap
AYRA 9U had a very successful 2019-2020 season. The team had a very strong spring/summer, finishing with a record of 12-3. Highlights included winning the AYRA High Heat Tournament.
10U Athletics - Season Recap
AYRA 10U had a successful 2019-2020 season as a first year travel team at this age group. In the Fall, the team competed in the AYRA Fall Classic and the Zombie Apocalypse Slugfest. The 10U A’s had a great spring/summer competing in several scrimmages and finishing the season with the AYRA High Heat Tournament. The coaches want to thank all the families for the support they showed to the team and to their kids. We look forward to a great upcoming 11U season.
11U Athletics - Season Recap
The AYRA 11U team had another very strong season, finishing 2019-2020 with a record of 17-7. The team was successful in tournaments, winning Essex Express Labor Day, making it to the championship bracket semifinals of Zombie Apocalypse Slugfest and Ripken Curtain Call, and finishing runner up in the championship bracket of Armed Forces Slugfest. The coaches thank all the families and friends of AYRA 11U for their support, and we're looking forward more great memories and a highly successful 12U season.
12U Athletics - Season Recap
The 12U Athletics wrapped up their Summer 2020 season this weekend with a runner-up finish in our own AYRA High Heat tournament, dropping a 1-0 thriller to the Burtonsville Storm in the final. The offseason strength and conditioning program at Axis Sports and a runner-up finish in the 13U HitTrax hitting league at Extra Innings paid off with their highest team batting average and slugging percentages on record. Other highlights included a Silver Bracket championship at the King of the Castle tournament in Pennsylvania last fall and a trip to the Ripken Experience in Aberdeen. While the team was disappointed to lose their chance to play in Cooperstown this summer, they pushed past it to finish with a 12-11 record and have positioned themselves well for the jump to the 90' diamond next season.
13U Athletics - Season Recap
The 13U Athletics were very competitive in their inaugural season of AYRA Baseball, winning 10 games in a shortened season. The team is looking forward to building on their success in 13U for a great 14U season.
14U Athletics - Season Recap
The AYRA 14U team played over 20 games in an intense shortened schedule. They also competed in two tournaments where they earned the 1st and 3rd seed after pool play. The team is looking forward to an exciting full
16U season, including an end of season out of state tournament.

11U Athletics - Week of September 2, 2019
AYRA 11U had a strong start to the 2019-2020 season, winning Division 1 of the Essex Express Labor Day tournament. The team finished 4-0 and outscored their opponents 64-20. Excellent job, team!
10U Athletics - Season Recap
The 10U AYRA Athletics had an excellent 2018-2019 season, finishing with a record of 34-13 and as champions of the MABA Atlantic Division. Other highlights included winning the Upper Chesapeake Festival Tournament in Harford Co., MD and the AYRA High Heat Tournament in Howard Co., MD (11U age group). The team capped off the season with a runner-up finish in the Ripken High Heat Tournament in Aberdeen, MD. Thanks to all the players, coaches, and parents for the great memories.
10U Athletics - Week of July 8th, 2019
The 10U AYRA Athletics recently competed in the Sports at the Beach Tournament in Rehoboth Beach, DE. The team had a successful weekend of baseball, making it to the championship group of the tournament. The A’s have a record of 30-12 and will wrap up their 2019 season in the Ripken High Heat tournament in Aberdeen, MD.
10U Athletics Win MABA Atlantic Division
The AYRA 10U team won the 2019 Atlantic Division of the Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association. The 10U A’s are back-to-back champions with a record of 19-3 following up on their Piedmont Division championship in 2018. The 10U A’s are a combined 37-5 in MABA over the last two seasons. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and parents on their successful 2019 season!

AYRA High Heat Tournament
The AYRA travel program held the AYRA High Heat tournament June 7-9, 2019, with 46 teams from three states participating in five age groups. The 10U Athletics won the 11U group, beating Rawlings A's Prospects 11U by a score of 11-6. The 18U Athletics made it to the semifinals of their group, defeating 17U Lakeshore GraySox 9-2. AYRA baseball thanks all the teams for a great weekend of baseball and the many volunteers who made the tournament a great success.

10U Athletics - Week of June 10th, 2019
The 10U Athletics had a successful month of baseball, with a record of 24-6 on the 2019 season. With five games remaining on their league schedule, the 10U A's lead the Atlantic Division of the Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association at 13-2. The team recently won the 11U age group of the AYRA High Heat tournament. The 10U A's will be back in action against LOUYAA Thunder 10U on June 12.

13U Athletics - Week of May 19th, 2019
The 13U team has won their last 6 games in a row, bringing their current MABA record to 11-2. Highlights include: a 7-inning complete game pitching gem by Dhruv to beat the undefeated division leader, an over the fence 2 run homer by center fielder Kyree, to tie up a close game, and a clutch hit by Chase, for a walk off single to win the game. We also want to give a shout out to our bat girl, Katie, who has become an integral part of our team.
11U Athletics - Week of May 12th, 2019The 11U Travel Team went down to DC on Tuesday night and took on the YBA Hustle at the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy!!!
On Wednesday evening Lynus B. and Cole O. completed the no-hitter against Catonsville ending with a 7-2 Athletics Victory - good job men!!!
10U Athletics - Week of May 5, 2019The 10U AYRA Athletics are currently undefeated in Mid-Atlantic Baseball Association league play at 7-0 and are 12-2 on the season. This past weekend the A’s played in the 10th Annual Chocolatetown Classic in Hershey, PA. The 10U Athletics will be in action again this Thursday against Elkridge Hurricanes Green 10U and a double-header on Sunday against the 10U Burtonsville Black Storm.

On Saturday the 13U team headed to the University of Maryland to see the Terrapins team in action. They stood with the players on the field for the national anthem and had a great view of the game against the Michigan Wolverines.

This weekend the AYRA 13U team helped run the stations for the AYRA rec program opening day and skills competition. The team had a great time working with the younger players while gaining some great leadership experience. On Sunday the team went 2 for 2 in their first double header of the regular MABA season resulting in a perfect 4-0 start!!!

10U Athletics - Week of March 31, 2019
The 10U AYRA Athletics opened the spring 2019 season with a perfect 8-0 record, capping an excellent first week of baseball as division champions of the Upper Chesapeake Festival Tournament in Harford County, MD. On the season the A’s have outscored their opponents 102-19 and had three shutout victories. The 10U Athletics will be in action again with a single game this Thursday against the 10U Burtonsville Black Storm and a double-header over the weekend against LOUYAA Thunder 10U.
