SPRING 2019 On-line Registration

Is Closed!

Fall 2019 registration will start in June.

Soccer is a great way to introduce children to sports through team play. SCCYSA emphasizes teaching the fundamentals of soccer and REQUIRES that each child plays at least one half of each game. SCCYSA’s recreational outdoor program is designed to develop and challenge players, but most of all, allow them to have fun! SCCYSA is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization committed to providing our community with a value-priced, high quality soccer program. Over 6000 kids participate annually.

Recreational=Individual player registration where teams are made from a player pool. These teams cannot have try-outs, no advertisement of any kind, or be hand-selected by a coach or any other member on the team.

UNIFORMS/GEAR: All players will receive a uniform (jersey, shorts & socks) in the fall season.  Only new players receive uniforms in the spring. Uniform must always be the outermost clothing article worn during games.

Coach will distribute uniforms (if applicable) and schedules after Feb 26.

Shin guards are REQUIRED to participate in SCCYSA practices and games. Soccer cleats are optional, yet they are highly recommended (due to possible wet grass conditions). We DON’T allow baseball cleats (a baseball cleat has a cleat on the front of the sole) or football (rectangular cleats on the outermost part of the sole).

Reminder: JEWELRY (including earrings) is NOT allowed during practice and games.

Each player should have a soccer ball for practice at home. The league does not provide soccer balls for players.

TEAM ORGANIZATION: SCCYSA allows teams to remain together from one season to the next. Once your player is on a team he/she can stay on that team until you request off. All players must register for each season. New players are welcomed and will be placed on teams. SCCYSA strives to balance teams when adding players into the division, and therefore, requests to play for a specific coach or with a specific player will only be honored at the discretion of the SCCYSA board. Additionally, if desired, parents may request their child to be placed onto a different team at the conclusion of any season.

SCHEDULE: Regular scheduled games are primarily played on Saturdays between 8am-6pm and Sundays between 12pm-6pm. High School games are played during the week and on Sunday evenings. Opening weekend will be March 9 & 10, 2019. We make every effort to play 8 regular season games. Mother Nature does not always cooperate with our schedule so make up games are held weekend evenings and weeknights where lit fields are available and only if needed.

PRACTICES: SCCYSA does not provide practice schedule or practice locations. Coaches will be responsible for scheduling the place and time for practice, if they choose. Practices, if done, are typically scheduled once a week and are generally located at schools and parks.  Practices may start anytime after the second week in February.

COACHES: SCCYSA relies on parents who are willing to donate their time and efforts to be a coach. We must have a volunteer from each team.

REGISTRATION: For your convenience, you can register in-house, by mail, or online and we do have a drop box outside our office for non-working hours. Players are not asked to sell candy/promotional goods.

Once you have signed up, you will not hear from your coach until after the February coaching meeting. If you do not hear from a coach by Feb 25 please call the office at 636-498-1056.

DEADLINE: SCCYSA guarantees placement of all registrations received by Jan 22, 2019. We cannot guarantee placement for registrations after this date; however, registration fees will be refunded if a player cannot be placed on a team.
