Pee Wees Baseball

Ages 5-6 (Co-ed)

This league is a cross of coach pitch and T-ball.  For most players, this will be their first introduction to organized baseball.

o   Players will get 5 pitches from their coach.  If they don’t hit the ball, they will then hit off a Tee.  There are no strikeouts.

o   Baseballs used will be RIF – 5 (Reduced Injury Factor).  These baseballs look the same but are softer than traditional baseballs.  Players can focus more on learning the skills of the game and less on the fear of getting hit by the ball.

o   7-8 players in the field (no catcher), approximately 7-8 players per team.

o   Each player will be equally rotated among the defensive positions.

o   Up to 4 coaches allowed per team.

o   No scores will be kept.  The goal of this league is for the players to have fun and learn the fundamentals of the game.

o   Players are assigned to teams to balance the age of all teams.
