CAMPBELL LITTLE LEAGUE

Registration FAQ

When does registration open?
Spring 2024 registration opens November 3 and closes January 20.
Fall registration is typically open from July to August.

When will I need to pay registration fees?
All league related fees are due at the time of registration.

Is financial assistance available?
Yes!  We do not want the cost of playing OR the volunteer requirement to keep any eligible kid from playing baseball. Campbell Little League is proud to offer a limited amount of financial assistance to players in need, plus flexibility on the volunteer requirement for those who are unable to meet the demand.

To qualify for financial assistance, a family must show a need, which is demonstrated by providing evidence of receiving financial assistance from a reputable social agency or government entity within the past six months.  Evidence could be in the form of: school district documentation for reduced or free lunch program; city vouchers for discounted services for the family (class, sports, or after school program); and/or documentation of receiving subsidized or financial assistance for food, housing, or healthcare.  Please email us at [email protected] to request a simple financial aid application (less than 5 minutes).

What is the volunteer requirement?
Each family must complete 10 volunteer hours for the Spring season, plus two snack shack shifts per child playing.  Please see the Volunteer FAQ page for more information.  There is no volunteer requirement for Fall Ball.

What are the volunteer opportunities throughout the season?
The volunteer opportunities throughout the season and post-season include: field clean up days; serving on a committee, such as snack shack, events, or facilities; helping with post-season tournaments and games; umpiring; and filling other needs of the League.  We recommend that you sign up sooner than later, as most opportunities are on a first come, first served basis.  Furthermore, if you have an idea for how you can contribute that is not listed, please reach out to a board member.  We welcome your ideas and assistance.

What if I do not complete the volunteer requirement?
You will be billed $50 per volunteer hour that you do not complete, plus $50 per uncompleted Snack Shack shift.  In addition, your player may not be permitted to enroll next year.

We are not in Campbell Little League boundary (home address/school address). Can I submit a waiver to play in CLL?
There are specific cases where Little League Waivers can apply. Please see Little League Waivers for Registration: Out of Boundary, Player Transfer Requests.

How are teams determined?

T-Ball and Rookie Division teams are determined by player requests, coaching requests, players attending the same school, and other similar criteria.  We will do our best to make the teams even in terms of players' abilities.  Farm, Minors, and Majors Division teams are determined by the coaching staff "drafting" a team. This allows teams to be more competitively balanced while giving coaches the discretion to choose their own teams.

Can I make a teammate request?
You can make teammate requests ONLY if your player is in the T-Ball or Rookie Division.  We do not accept teammate requests for the Farm, Minors, or Majors Divisions.  This is per Little League Baseball rules, as these teams have the potential of participating in post season play, and they would subsequently be disqualified.  Siblings of similar playing ability and/or age can be placed on the same team.
