RBNY Professional Staff Bios

Patrick Fuentes 

Patrick is the Regional Coordinator for the New York Red Bulls, responsible for the day to day oversight and growth of the Red Bull coaches with the main focus of Central/South Jersey.   

Patrick has been with the New York Red Bulls since 2013, establishing himself within the organization. Patrick has been involved in the Regional Development Schools (RDS), the pre-academy filter system to the prestigious New York Red Bulls Academy.  

In conjunction with NJ Youth Soccer; Patrick has served as the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Age Group Coordinator for the 2005, 2006 and currently 2008/2009 Boys Young Olympian age groups. 

As both a coach and a coach educator with the New York Red Bulls, and United Soccer Coaches; where he is a staff instructor for the 4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11, and assessor for their advanced diploma courses.  His vast experience has allowed him to put numerous players into collegiate programs, MLS/USSF Development Academies, and Professional teams both stateside and abroad. 

In addition to his role with New York Red Bulls, Patrick serves as our Technical Director; overseeing all technical soccer related decisions within the club.  Patrick has been with RSA for five years, developing our recreation through travel program; designing a vertically integrated stylistic approach for all of our programs.   

As a player, Patrick’s professional career was cut short by a severe ankle injury suffered in the preseason with the Harrisburg City Islanders of the USL.  Upon his return, he was given opportunities with the Kansas City Wizards (Now Sporting KC) of the MLS, and Ft. Lauderdale Strikers (NASL).  Never fully recovering from the ankle injury suffered, he moved into coaching shortly thereafter.

Justin Duque 

Justin began working with RSA in Spring 2018, taking over our 2009 and 2008 age groups.  His dynamic and passionate approach to player development has allowed him to find immediate success in developing players within these age groups.  

Justin brings vast experiences playing at youth and collegiate levels; as a youth player winning the US Club National Championships (2012)  before playing at St. Benedict’s Prep; a perennial powerhouse during his high school career.  He went on to play for Saint John’s University; where he was a 2015 All-MIAC honorable mention, and 2016 All-MIAC First team. He graduated with a B.A. in Nutrition and Psychology 

Joining the New York Red Bulls in 2017, Justin has quickly established himself within the organization.  In addition to coaching at RSA, Justin has been involved in the Regional Development Schools (RDS) the pre-academy feeder system to the renowned Red Bulls Academy; as well as coaching in the NJ ODP Young Olympian Program. 

Heather Maierle 

Heather began working with RSA in Fall of 2017 in our recreation program, before moving to working with our Girl’s travel teams in Spring of 2018.  She draws upon her past playing experience, as well as her education background to help connect with all of her players. 

Heather has a vast playing background, being a 4 year starter at Rider University, achieving numerous accolades throughout her collegiate career. Prior to college, Heather was a five-year starter for the Friends Academy, leading the Quakers to five County Championships, three Long Island Championships and two New York State finals, winning the State Championship in 2011. A two-year captain, Maierle earned All-Class and All-State honors. She led her ECNL premier team East Meadow United to the 2007 and 2011 ENYSA State Championships and in 2011 was selected to the ECNL id2 Player Development Program. 

Ayodeji (DJ) Ogunlade 

DJ will be working within our 2011, 2009, and 2006 boys age groups.   Born in Nigeria, but grew up in England,  DJ played in the non-league (semi-professional leagues) of England where he played for likes of Erith Town FC, Oldham Town FC, South Shields FC and Oldham Boro FC between 2004 - 2010.  

He transitioned into coaching during his short spell in Malaysia where he started as a player/coach at Safa FC Kuala Lumpur.  

DJ joined New York Red Bulls in Spring 2017, where he began with RSA.  He has become a staple of the club with his passion and love for the game apparent within every session/game. 

DJ currently holds the United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, and USSF “C” License. 

Kori Washington

Kori has worked with RSA since Fall of 2016, throughout her tenure with RSA she has worked within all facets our program. She brings a wealth of experience to the program, having coached within several clubs in New Jersey, Princeton High School Varsity and Junior Varsity girls soccer team, as well as being the Director of Soccer Operations for Rutgers University from 2013-14.

On a playing level, she was a 4 year letter winner at Pennington Prep (HS); 4 time New Jersey State Prep A champions, and 2 Mercer county titles during her high school career.  Following high school she attending New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), becoming a 4 year starter; finishing her career with 12 goals, five assists and 29 points in 73 games played, earning United Soccer Conference Third Team honors in 2007.
