SYC / York County Fall Baseball Information:

Visit SYC Baseball’s web site at www.sycwarriors.org and log in to your account to register.

This league is primarily a developmental league which gives players an opportunity to sharpen their skills for the spring 2019 baseball season.  SYC enters teams into the York County Fall League, which consists of approximately 125 teams drawn from 25 participating baseball leagues around the York County area.  Travel within a 45 minute radius of the SYC area is required for away games.  SYC competes against neighboring organizations such as Dallastown, Hanover, Southeastern, Craley, Northeastern, West York etc.  Visit www.yorkcountybaseball.org for more information.

Teams are formed after tryouts are conducted in late July or early August and practices typically begin in the middle of August.  Tryout information will be sent as we near the close of registration and we determine the number of teams in each division.  Games are played in September & October.

NOTE: We may not field teams in every division if we do not have enough registered players!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Fall Baseball affiliated with Little League?

No. SYC Baseball enters teams into the York County Fall League.  The league has its own established rules of play and is not a Little League program.

My child plays another fall sport, i.e. soccer, football, hockey, etc.  Can he play fall baseball and will the schedules conflict?

Short answers: yes and yes.  Fall baseball games are played mostly on Saturdays with some Sundays.  Some conflicts are likely to occur.  Coach Pitch typically plays on Saturdays. The 8-9 Division plays 8 games in 6 weeks; 2 weekends will have games on both Saturday and Sunday. The 10-11 Division plays weekend doubleheaders; 10 games on 5 weekends.

Is Fall Baseball a travel league and how competitive is the play?

The York County Fall League does involve some travel within about a 45 minute radius of the SYC area.  It offers A and B divisions, with the A division being more competitive than the B division.  Coaches and league officials will decide which division to enter based on the overall skill level of those registered and enrollment numbers.  The 7U Coach Pitch Division is less competitive and focuses on teaching fundamentals.  Some travel is still required.
