The purpose of the Minors to Majors Level Clinics is to introduce players moving up from the Minors Division to the skills needed in the Majors Division. Players will learn advanced hitting, base running, and fielding techniques used at the Major Division Level. The goal is to prepare players moving up from the Minors Division to the Majors Division and minimize the transition during the early Spring season, as the pitching mound moves to 50ft and the bases move to 70ft at the Majors Division level.
Age:
- Any 9yo turning 10yo prior to May 1, 2019 and skills evaluated beyond Minors Division
- Any 10yo turning 11yo prior to May 1, 2019 and completed Minors Division eligibility
- Any 11yo or 12yo prior to May 1, 2019 that completed their first year of Minor Division and will play at the Major Division
Level in the Spring 2019 season.
Dates:
- Clinics start September 8, 2018 and run through the end of October.
- Sessions will run each Saturday from 12:30pm - 2:30pm
- Weeknight sessions may be added, depending on the number of players enrolled and if we will be playing games with surrounding leagues.

-> batting stance
-> develop hand-eye coordination through soft-toss, coach pitch, and kid pitch
-> proper hitting techniques

-> learn ready position for fielding and what to do if ball is hit to them

-> throwing out the lead runner
-> proper overhand throwing techniques to build arm strength and accuracy
-> throwing around the bases
-> fielding fly balls and throwing to cut-off man
- Base Running
-> proper technique for taking a lead
-> when to take an extra base
-> tagging up on a fly ball
-> sliding
- Mini Games
-> toward the end of the clinics, the players will break up into two teams and play mini games to practice the skills
