Coach Pitch (ages 6-8)

Players learn to hit baseballs pitched by a Coach machine positioned on the pitcher’s mound. The speed is approximately 30 mph. Batters must hit the ball on 6 pitches or a strikeout is recorded. There are no walks.

Defensive outs are recorded and score is kept. All players bat in a continuous rotation and play in the field.

Coaches focus on fielding, throwing, hitting, and base running along with defensive positions and responsibilities. The primary goals are to have fun, to instruct children in the fundamentals, and learn the teamwork.
