SEASON DETAILS

This year we will be using RainedOut- An SMS based system to notify parents and managers of cancelled practices and games. Text HenlopenSC to 84483 to sign up for notifications!

DIVISION DETAILS (NEW)

Ages 12+13+14: We are going to have four teams of about eight or nine athletes. They will play 7 v 7. Week six we will host a playoff with seedings and week seven will consist of a championship match and a third place match. The head coach of each team will be responsible for turning in a game report to Patrick Kilby or Danny Maskell (Co-Recreational Directors). A game report template will be provided to the coach each week. This box score will be reported to the Cape Gazette.

Ages 10 and 11: Will play 6 v 6. There will be eight teams. Each team will have about eight athletes on the roster. Results will be posted in the Cape Gazette along with standings. No box scores. No playoff. The score report will be provided by each coach. A score report template will be provided to each coach.

Ages 8 and 9: Will play 5 v 5. There will be eight teams. Each team will have about eight athletes on the roster. Results will be posted in the Cape Gazette along with standings. No box scores. No playoff. The score report will be provided by each coach. A score report template will be provided to each coach. Our PDP (Player Development Program) will be competing in this age group. Our recreational program is a platform for our athletes and their families to make the move to the select/travel level. The PDP group are those players looking to make the move to the next level. Recreational parents can now see the PDP product on display each week during the recreational season.

Ages 2 and 3: Will play 6 v 6 Multiple Ball Scrimmage. No standings. No box scores. No playoff.

FAQs

I would like to volunteer as a managerbut I am not sure what is involved?

The main role of the manageris to organize and communicate with team players and their parents. How do I know what division my child should play in?
The cut off date for Recreation Soccer League is April 7th, 2018.
If they are 3 years old on April 7th, they would play in 3+4 division

How do I sign up on the website?

1 - Go to www.HenlopenSoccerClub.org

2 – Click “Register” in the top right corner of the page.

3 – If you have already created an account on this system, enter your username and password to sign in to your account. If you have not created an account, please do so. You must enter the parent/guardian information first. Then you will be able to add your child’s information.

4 – Once you have created your profile and your child(rens) profile, programs will pop up based on your child’s birth date.

5 – Please answer the questions and finish registration with paying by Visa, MasterCard or by mailing in a check.

Can my child play in an older division?

In most cases, Henlopen Soccer Club encourages players to play in their appropriate age group. A request to play up can be submitted to [email protected]and will be reviewed for approval.

Will games be played at more than one location?

No. All games will be held Saturday mornings at Mariner Middle School,16391 Harbeson Rd, Milton, DE 19968

Will my child have a team practice during the week?

Kickstart: No weekday practice
3+4: No weekday practice

7+8 League:Yes.

Practices are based on coach availability.

What happened to the weekly skills clinic?

Henlopen Soccer Club is working to strengthen the relationship with the community and team engagement. Teams will practice together week nights, based on their coaches availability.

Will the players get uniforms?

Players will receive a Jersey prior to their first game. Players are required to provide their own shorts, shin guards, soccer cleats, a soccer ball and knee high socks.

Will size soccer ball does my child need?

Ages 3-6: Size 3
Ages 7-12: Size 4
Ages 12-14: Size 5

What should I expect the first day of the season?

Parents should expect to arrive early to meet with their teams and collect their jersey from their coach. Jerseys will be distributed on the field before their game. There will be an information table available to help direct parents/players to fields. Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the concessions stand.
