The Butts County Board of Commissioners, through its Department of Leisure Services, is committed to providing services for Butts County citizens, ages 50 and older, which will promote, enhance and support senior adults and help them remain independent and feeling safe, healthy and happy in their homes.
Introducing....Your Program, Your Choice!
Recreation & Wellness Membership: For active older adults age 50+ includes full use of center facilities such as fitness room, media room, computer lab, craft room as well as access to special programming, informational sessions, enrichment classes, trips and travel. We make a special effort to keep the cost to attend our programs low/ affordable, and in many cases free for our members.
Congregant Nutrition Program: For active older adults 60+and their spouses . This program promotes better physical and mental health through providing nutritious meals and opportunities for social interaction. Enjoy all the benefits of the Recreation & Wellness program with the addition of a congregant meal served daily Monday through Friday, nutritional screening/assessment, nutrition education and transportation to the center.
Not a Butts County resident but want to become a part of the Butts County Senior Center family? We have you covered! For a minimal $35 annual out of county fee you too can enjoy all the benefits of our Recreation & Wellness Membership! Just call or stop by the front desk to learn more.
Transportation:
As a member of our Congregant Nutrition Program transportation to and from the center can be arranged free of charge just stop by the front desk or give us a call to learn more.
Public Transportation is available for all Butts County Residents through Butts Transit. Transportation cost is only $2 per trip. If you need transportation for shopping, medical appointments or recreational activities please call 678-588-9430
