The Coerver 5-3-1 Challenge, Friday after Thanksgiving, is Coerver's most unusual soccer competition. Coerver AZ is going to join in this year and offer this unique competition at Arizona Sports Complex. Based on our popular 5-3-1 summer camp activity, the 5-3-1 Challenge brings great value; more play for much less than the other soccer events that weekend. And parents really like that it’s done in one day, not the whole weekend. This unique format provides superb opportunity for FUN!
Teams of 5-6 players play a series of 25 minute matches consisting of three segments:
- 14 minute 5v5 game
- 8 minute 3v3 game
- 2min 1v1 The Pit. (2 games at same time)
Format
Teams will play a 5v5 game then designate 3 players to compete in the 3v3 and then a pair to play 1v1 games (5 players split for 3v3,1v1)
All 5 players will play both larger and then smaller sided games. It's FUN, Challenging, max touches in a half day!
Top 2 Teams in Division compete in Final 5-3-1 Challenge based on points

This is a players challenge and no coaching permitted during the games
Coerver bibs provided for games
Players wear black Coerver AZ shirts. Available at event if needed.
Who it is for
The Challenge is open to players in the U8 – U14 age groups. This competition is coed and teams can be boys/girls/coed.
Tournament brackets will be finalized one week prior to its start. Brackets will be constructed to ensure the most competitive atmosphere within each teams age range. Team must play in age group of oldest player. Minimum of 5 players, maximum of 7.

Times: 9am-1pm
Cost: $125 per team (early bird 11/10/17) $150 after

Registration – To complete your 5-3-1 Challenge registration takes 2 easy steps.
1- Log into your account to register for the 5-3-1 Challenge, fill out the required player information and registration details. The player you register under will become the team leader/captain an is responsible for finalizing team as well as the $125 registration fee.
2- Once your payment has been completed, fill out the Game Day Roster below, following the mailing/email instructions on the form. Please submit info ASAP. All team registration sheets are due 11/20.
