What is this Southampton Pro Academy about?

Southampton Pro Academy is the highest level of training you can receive in the central United States directly based off Southampton FC Academy curriculum. “Southampton Pro Academy” is open to ONLY those boys and girls who want to play D1, or professional soccer. You must receive approval from Southampton Pro Academy Coaching Staff and Directors at an upcoming tryout to be accepted into the Academy. Once you are in, then we support your potential for the full duration of your soccer experience through high school, college and professional, and even through retirement. We believe in our process and our development programs. They are proven!
We are committed to making you better and helping you achieve your goals. We are not constantly recruiting players from other parts of the country to replace you, we want every member of the Academy to succeed, not be replaced. When you succeed, we succeed. We believe in the values of Southampton FC, PLAYER DEVELOPMENT.
Boys and girls will train separately once a week, every week of the fall, winter, and spring season. All training sessions will be run by Southampton FC Academy trained Coaches and they will be in constant contact with Southampton FC Academy in Southampton, England to ensure quality sessions and track progress of the players.
This is a partially funded Academy.
Costs Covered:

Each player has the opportunity to be chosen for the below NIKE PREMIER TOURNEY EVENTS. This invitations will be based on the following criteria.

TRAINING
Once accepted into this pool of players, boys and girls will train once a week during the fall, winter, and Spring seasons. All training sessions will be run by Southampton FC Academy trained coaches. These coaches will be in constant contact with Southampton FC Academy in Southampton, England to ensure quality sessions. Come and train with the best players and one of the best development academy programs in the World.
Training includes Technical, Tactical, Psychological, Speed & Agility, Fitness, Diet and Nutrition education.
Cost of training:
$100 per month for high school age boys and girls
$75 per month for U12, U13, and U14 boys and girls

TEAMS
All teams will be U13(2005) and above. All players training must be at least U12(2006) and above, no exceptions. We recommend kids travel no more that 6 total hours per week for this Academy. The player being close to KC is not an factor for who is selected to play in Tourneys and games, however attendance in training is. This Southampton Pro Academy is open to all soccer players from all clubs, from anywhere in Missouri and Kansas.
From the pool of players, coaches will choose ONLY those who deserve to travel with the team to each event. This will be based on performance at training. Once chosen, all players on the trip will play quality minutes for developmental purposes, but coaches and teams will be playing to win games. Developing a winning and competitive attitude is a key component of our program. Multiple age groups will travel to each event and parents are encouraged to participate in the trips. Southampton FC is big on family and we want kids with their families involved as much as possible.

The final trip will be the chance to compete in the Southampton Cup in Southampton, England each year starting in August of 2018. This tourney is against other top premier league clubs in England, Europe, Asia and Africa.
