GIRLS 2009 MSI ACADEMY (U13 age group for Fall 2021/Spring 2022)
If your daughter was born in 2009 and is looking for a fun and more challenging soccer experience consider trying out for MSI’s Academy program.
SCHEDULE of ACTIVITIES, 2021/2022 SEASONAL YEAR
Fall Season
Start Date: week of either Monday, August 16
Weekly Training Sessions: 2 nights per week
League Play: NCSL (National Capitol Soccer League) games on Saturdays and/or Sundays
Tournaments: 2 (logical dates are late August, Labor Day weekend, Columbus Day weekend, and mid-November)
Winter season
Start Date: week after Thanksgiving (with a break for December holidays through New Year's Day)
Outdoors: Sat/Sun, 1 outdoor training session (10 weeks), beginning after Thanksgiving (Dec/Jan/Feb)
Indoors: 1 weeknight indoor training session (7 weeks), beginning after New Year (Jan/Feb)
Spring Season
Start Date: early March
Weekly Training Sessions: 2 nights per week
League Play: NCSL (National Capitol Soccer League) games on Saturdays and/or Sundays
Tournaments: 2 (logical dates are mid/late March, Memorial Day weekend, mid-June).
COST of PARTICIPATION
The 2021/2022 Seasonal Year player fee will be approximately $2,250 for the Girls 2009 Academy (requires a one-year commitment); this fee does not include individual player uniform/team bag kit, which is approximately $195, or travel costs associated with out-of-town tournaments.
SCHEDULE of PAYMENTS & REGISTRATION
With all the uncertainty relative to what we will or won't be allowed to do, this fall (and perhaps beyond), we are not yet requiring direct payments from families (the information below will be updated once we have more reliable information). We are doing this as another service to our families during a time of widespread need for "family friendly" policies, and will do our best to continue being as helpful as possible.
"PAYMENT BY CREDIT CARD" OPTION (to be updated when able): An "Initial Payment" (non-refundable) of 20% is required, and monthly automatic charges will be made to your credit card for the balance due, beginning approximately August 1 and concluding approximately April 1. In each case, the credit card transaction fees of roughly 3% plus $2 will be added to the amount charged. In order to make the Initial Payment and set up the subsequent monthly payments, you must establish a parental account on the technology system, a sub-account for your child, and register for the Academy program.
"PAYMENT BY PERSONAL CHECK" OPTION (to be updated when able): Payment by personal check is allowed only in the instance where a parent chooses to pay the full seasonal year's participation fee "up front". This choice will avoid payment of the credit card fees noted above.
