Fall Rec Lacrosse



The Fall In-House Recreation Lacrosse Program is a 3v3 league for girls in grades 1 - 9.  Players of all experience levels are welcome! US Lacrosse Membership REQUIRED for insurance purposes (must purchase through US Lacrosse, $30 for 8th graders and below, $35 for High Schoolers, membership good for one whole year). This program is being offered so new and experienced lacrosse players have the opportunity to develop and practice fundamental skills (ground balls, throwing, catching, shooting) and participate in small-sided games. The 2018 Fall season will be different from last year as players will participate in skills training AND play in games on the same night. The first half of the session will involve stickwork and skills followed by 3v3 games on a small/modified game-field.  Games are 32-minutes long (i.e. four 8-minute quarters).

Please note these divisions are tentative and we reserve the right to make changes based on registrant numbers and ages in an effort to create the best experience possible for all players.

9U: 1st-3rd Grade: 5:30pm - 7pm

12U; 4th-6th Grade: 5:30pm - 7pm

15U: 7th-9th Grade: 5:30pm - 7pm

*ACS Select (i.e. travel players) ARE allowed and encouraged to participate in this league.

DEADLINE TO REGISTER: Wednesday, August 29.  After August 29, we may make changes to age groups in order to make the league run and include as many participants as possible. Please note LATE FEE PERIOD BEGINS 12:00am AUGUST 30.

PLAYER REGISTRATION: CLICK HERE.  Please be sure your daughter has a USL Membership Number to enter before you register for Rec Lacrosse.

EQUIPMENT: Players need a stick, goggles, and mouthguard to play. Equipment is available to rent for $15 for the season (stick and goggles).

  • *WE REQUIRE A US LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP FOR ALL AC SANDHILLS LACROSSE PLAYERS AND COACHES:  CLICK HERE to go to the US Lacrosse Membership page and register your player(s) and/or look up Membership #. Be sure to SAVE their US Lacrosse # which will be sent to you via email. We require this membership for insurance purposes - membership is good for 1 entire year. The cost for a US Lacrosse Membership for players is about $30 for 8th grade and below, $35 for high school, $55 for coaches and that fee is not included in ACS pricing.

We rely on a combination of travel coaches, high school players, and parent volunteers for this league to run. Please email [email protected] if you are interested in coaching a team!  Coaches are encouraged to complete Level 1 Certification through US Lacrosse (free course with USL Membership). Attendance at our coach meeting is required (Wednesday August 22 5:30pm Wicker Park).


COST: $95 
*Uniform and US Lacrosse Membership not included .

UNIFORMS: For the Fall of 2018 girls are able to wear ANY white/orange shirt or pinney that they already own (i.e. girls should wear the color their team is designated to wear that night but always bring the other color as backup). In the past, we have required you purchase an orange/white reversible pinney, and last spring we moved to a new recreation pinney that cost around $45 (photo attached). We are not requiring that you purchase anything new.  But, if you like, we do have a limited number of orange/white recreation jerseys available for you to purchase (which will be worn in our spring recreation league that begins in February). Please email [email protected] if you are interested in purchasing one and we will reserve it for you and bring it to the first session.

COMMUNICATION: We are going to use TeamConnect to communicate this season regarding cancellations or changes.
